A small robot that more easily slips under furniture
The M210 Pro Omni lives up to its name: despite its rather complete functions, Lefant has sought to maintain a very compact format.
The robot measures 280 x 290 x 99 mm. With less than 30 cm in width, it is significantly smaller than robots that are around 35 cm in diameter that are typically encountered. Lefant claims up to 92 % coverage of accessible surfaces, thanks in part to its ability to slip into tight spaces.
This is far from a detail. A robot can have extraordinary mapping and suction power worthy of a small tornado; if it gets stuck in front of the couch because it is too big, the dust underneath will remain undisturbed ;-)
Up to 20,000 Pa, without a central brush where hair wraps around
Lefant now announces a maximum suction power of 20,000 Pa, adjustable on four levels. The design of the suction system is even more interesting: no traditional rotating central brush.
The two side brushes bring dust, crumbs, and hair to a direct suction inlet. Therefore, there is no central roller around which hair and pet fur can wrap.
For pet owners or people with long hair, this is quite clever: no need to regularly turn the robot over to cut a magnificent collection of hair wrapped around the brush.
A roller continuously washed with clean water
This is especially where the M210 Pro Omni becomes interesting at 229 €.
Instead of dragging a simple damp mop behind it, the robot features a 20 cm washing roller rotating up to 240 rpm, with an announced pressure of 15 N on the ground.
But the principle goes further. Clean water is continuously sent to the roller during cleaning. It scrubs the floor, a scraper removes dirt, and the dirty water is collected separately.
In other words, the M210 Pro Omni avoids continuing its cleaning as much as possible with a mop that gradually becomes dirty—the same principle that has made the success of floor washing vacuum cleaners in recent years.
The M210 Pro Omni owes its strength mainly to this: a washing technology typically associated with much more expensive robots.
A station that automatically washes and dries the roller
Once its job is finished, the robot returns to its small Omni station.
According to Lefant’s current specifications, it includes a 2.4-liter tank for clean water and a 1.5-liter tank for wastewater. It automatically fills the robot’s clean water circuit, collects the dirty water, rinses its roller, and then ensures its air drying.
A detail that I particularly appreciate: a part of the washing basin of the station can be removed to be rinsed separately. This is much more practical for monthly maintenance than going to sponge at the bottom of the station.
However, there’s no automatic dust emptying here. The robot has a large 800 ml bin that must be emptied manually.
This is obviously less automated than a premium station with a bag, but there is also an advantage: no proprietary bags to buy again and a station that is much less bulky.
The real plus of the Pro model: a laser mapping worthy of the name
This is also what clearly distinguishes this M210 Pro Omni from the previously presented M210 Omni.
The Pro uses laser dToF navigation and can memorize up to three maps, with automatic room partitioning. The app then allows you to start cleaning a room, a specific area, or the entire home, as well as set forbidden zones.
The app also allows you to choose the suction power, water flow, schedule cleanings, and even determine how frequently the robot should return to its station to wash its roller.
The M210 Pro Omni also accepts 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks, has Bluetooth to facilitate pairing, and can be controlled via Google Assistant and Alexa. Lefant also announces compatibility with the Apple Watch.
At 229.59 €, the Lefant M210 Pro Omni becomes an excellent deal
Let’s forget for a moment the crossed-out 999.99 € and even the 77 % discount. What really matters is what you get for 229.59 €.
And here, the offer is much easier to defend.
We have a compact robot with laser dToF navigation, multi-floor mapping, suction power that can reach 20,000 Pa, a large 800 ml bin, suction without a central brush, dual side brush, and above all, a washing roller continuously supplied with clean water, accompanied by a station ensuring its rinsing and drying.
One must accept to empty the dust bin themselves and to tidy up the little cables lying around before starting the cleaning. But these are rather reasonable concessions given the price.
