BLUETTI presented the Balco Transfer Hub in Paris a few weeks ago, and the product had already intrigued quite a few people in the room. It is now available in France, and it should appeal to anyone who already has a portable power station sitting in a corner.
The starting observation is simple: thousands of people have bought a BLUETTI, EcoFlow, Jackery, or Anker battery for camping, power outages, or van trips. The rest of the time, it gathers dust in a garage.
The Balco Transfer Hub gives it a permanent use at home: the station becomes a small solar system connected to the electrical circuit of the home.

How it works in practice
The box links the energy station, solar panels, and the home’s electrical installation.
The panels recharge the battery during the day. When the house consumes, the Balco Transfer Hub injects up to 800 W back into the grid, within the limits set by European regulations on balcony solar kits.
This is designed for apartments and small houses that do not want to invest several thousand euros in a conventional photovoltaic installation.

Solar energy then covers part of the continuous consumption: fridge, internet box, lighting, TV, smart home equipment. And on weekends or during vacations, you unplug the station and take it camping.
Installation takes just a few minutes
No drilling, no electrical panel to touch, no complicated wiring.
Three steps: plug the Balco Transfer Hub into a standard outlet, connect a compatible energy station, and then connect the panels to the station.
For renters, BLUETTI also offers foldable panels that can be attached to a balcony, fence, or carport, without drilling or modifying the home.
Compatibility that exceeds BLUETTI products
This is the most interesting aspect of the product. Many manufacturers lock their customers into their own ecosystem; BLUETTI designed the Balco Transfer Hub to work with several brands of energy stations, including some third-party models.
For someone who already owns a portable battery and wants to monetize it, this changes the game.
BLUETTI obviously promotes its own recent models, the Elite 300 and the Elite 200 V2, but the idea behind the product remains to reuse the equipment already present in people’s homes.

The basic function of connecting to the grid is compatible with all models of energy stations, and the compatible models for advanced functions are detailed in the product manual, with more information available on the official site.
AI-driven energy management
The Balco Transfer Hub does not just inject electricity. Software adjusts the charging and discharging strategy according to the weather, expected solar production, electricity rates, and household consumption habits.
In some cases, you can schedule charging during off-peak hours to reuse that energy later when the rate rises. A way to save a bit more for those with a variable rate contract.
Smart home integration
The unit connects to Smart Plugs and energy meters to provide an overview of consumption, from the BLUETTI app that centralizes solar production, battery status, and energy flows.
BLUETTI also announces compatibility with Shelly, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and everHome. For Home Assistant users, the link with Shelly opens up many automation possibilities.
Scalable if needs change
The “Space” function connects up to six BLUETTI energy systems to build a small distributed network in the home. You can start with a single portable station and expand later, as your budget allows.

This is reminiscent of conventional residential batteries, but more flexible and with a much lighter initial investment.
Price and launch
The BLUETTI Balco Transfer Hub costs €349 in France, but benefits from a 15% discount with the code TSMED (until September 16), putting it under €300. A very attractive price for recycling an old battery!
Four packs then exist with different power levels, suited to various needs:
Three promo codes are available for the launch:
- Code TSMED: -15% on the Balco Transfer Hub alone (until September 16)
- Code TRANMED: -10% on the Balco Transfer Hub and its packs (until September 16)
- Code MEDBLUETTI: -5% on the entire official BLUETTI France site
Our opinion
Many people have a power station that only comes out of the closet two or three times a year, for camping or a power outage. The Balco Transfer Hub addresses exactly that problem.
The idea can be summed up in one sentence: reuse a device you already have, rather than selling a new complete solar installation. Multi-brand compatibility, injection up to 800 W, AI control, smart home integration: the product ticks many boxes for a reasonable entry-level budget. I think the idea is excellent!

If a portable battery has been sitting at your place since last summer, this is probably the simplest opportunity to finally utilize it in your daily life. I will soon propose a full test of this new device, which I find really very interesting!
