At Delta Dore, security is not a new topic. The Breton manufacturer has been developing solutions in this field for more than 35 years, with a already significant installed base. But the market changes quickly, and it was clear that the offer needed to evolve.
The turning point is the announced end of 2G and 3G networks. 2G is set to disappear as early as 2026, followed by 3G by 2029. Therefore, it is impossible to continue with solutions based on these technologies. The result: this new generation of alarms naturally switches to 4G, while remaining compatible with existing installations.
At the same time, competitive pressure is increasing, with more agile players often very aggressive on prices. Delta Dore has therefore chosen a clear approach: simplify the range, reduce complexity, and offer a more complete system core, capable of managing everything by itself.
And this is where the new Tyxal+ hub comes into play. With Tyxal+, Delta Dore is no longer simply talking about an alarm but a true global protection system. The idea is to go beyond detection to integrate prevention, deterrence, and doubt removal into a single connected ecosystem.
Tyxal+: a unique hub that centralizes all security
The core of the system is based on a new hub that combines three key functions into a single product: alarm center, siren, and 4G transmitter.
In practical terms, we have a central unit capable of managing up to 8 zones and 50 devices. This largely covers the needs of a typical house, but also of a small professional space.
The integrated siren reaches 105 dB, which is already very deterrent (and sufficient to scare away most intruders). For more demanding installations, an additional siren can push up to 110 dB.
On the connectivity side, the hub is quite flexible. It can operate via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or 4G. And above all, the 4G can serve as an automatic backup in case of an internet outage. This is typically the kind of detail that changes everything in a real security installation.
Another interesting point: the system works directly with the Tydom application, without requiring an additional home automation box. The hub already incorporates some of the necessary functions to control the alarm and cameras.
The usage has clearly been simplified. Control is done entirely from the Tydom application, with an approach designed to be accessible to all household members. No need to multiply interfaces or equipment; everything is managed through the smartphone, in a smooth and quite intuitive manner.

An alarm designed to operate in all circumstances
One of the big strengths of this new generation is resilience.
Even in the event of an internet outage, the 4G takes over automatically. Alerts continue to be sent (notifications, SMS, voice calls, remote monitoring).
Another interesting detail is that the 4G doesn’t only serve as a backup. It can also become the main connection of the system. This is particularly useful for securing an isolated site, a second home, or a location without an internet box (typical of construction sites or technical rooms). The system remains fully controllable remotely, solely via the mobile network.
And what if the power goes out? No worries. The hub includes a battery backup that can last up to 7 days. The batteries, in fact, are advertised to last up to 10 years in regular use.
This level of autonomy is far from trivial. In the field, it’s often what makes the difference between a reliable alarm… and a useless alarm at a critical moment.

Enhanced security with a proprietary radio protocol
Delta Dore has made a deliberate choice here: to stick with a proprietary radio protocol (X3D / X3DA), rather than using Zigbee or Matter.
The reason is simple: security.
The protocol operates on a dual frequency (868 MHz), with encrypted communications and a unique code for each device. Therefore, it is impossible to copy or replay a signal.
The system also incorporates jamming detection. If someone attempts to saturate the radio communications to neutralize the alarm, the hub immediately detects it and triggers an alert.
All the expected protections for this type of product are also present: opening detection, tampering, device supervision… in short, it is clearly a “professional security” mentality, not just a simple connected gadget.
The question often arises, especially among home automation users.
Delta Dore is closely watching Matter, but today, this standard does not really cover the needs related to security. And especially, integrating multiple radios (Zigbee, home automation, security) into a single product can create interference… which is totally unacceptable for an alarm.
On the other hand, indirect compatibility via gateways or future developments is not excluded.
An evolving installation designed to last
The Tyxal+ hub is designed to evolve over time with remote updates.
Several updates are already announced: priority alerts, integration with the smart home ecosystem, migration tools for older central units…
Another interesting point for professionals: remote maintenance. It becomes possible to check the system’s status, diagnose a problem, or adjust parameters without having to travel.
For an installer, this is a huge time saver. And for the client, a more responsive service.
The system is also compatible with the SIA DC-09 protocol, allowing for a direct connection to remote monitoring centers. A key point for professional installations or subscription security offers.

Simpler and more modular packs
Delta Dore has also completely overhauled its pack approach.
No more overloaded bundles with unnecessary equipment. The idea is to offer a simple base that can then be adapted according to needs.
The initial pack, for example, includes the 4G hub, two remote controls, and two motion detectors. It is designed for areas under 100 m².
The optimal pack adds indoor and outdoor sirens for more comprehensive protection, suitable for a single-family home or a small tertiary building.
Then, each person is free to add whatever they wish: opening detectors, cameras, keypads, badges… Over 40 devices are compatible.

An opening towards video and home automation
Security no longer stops at the alarm.
The system can be complemented with cameras (TCAM range) or video detectors. In case of an alert, the user can immediately check what is happening at home.
Delta Dore also highlights its intelligent video detectors capable of distinguishing between a human and a pet. This greatly limits false alerts, a point often critical in alarm systems.

Even more interesting: the synchronization between alarm and video. A detection can trigger a siren, lighting, or a camera.
And with a few home automation modules, we can go even further. In case of an intrusion, the system can automatically trigger deterrent scenarios. For example, closing roller shutters or turning on lights to simulate a presence. This type of automatic reaction clearly enhances the deterrent effect, without user intervention.

A solution designed for today… and tomorrow
With Tyxal+, Delta Dore does not simply update an existing alarm.
The manufacturer simplifies its offer, anticipates the end of 2G/3G networks, improves connectivity, and prepares the ground for more advanced services.
We end up with a more coherent system, more flexible and clearly better suited to current uses.
And above all, a product that will not become obsolete in two years… which, in the field of security, is far from a detail.
